Customised Mandates. Higher Thresholds. Informed Participation.
Portfolio Management Services (PMS) are services through which a registered portfolio manager manages or administers an individual client's portfolio of securities under an agreed mandate.
PMS is not the same as a mutual fund. Each client's portfolio is maintained separately, and outcomes depend on the manager's strategy and market conditions.
Key Features
- Individual portfolio — Securities are maintained separately for each client's account.
- Defined mandate — The approach (discretionary, non-discretionary or advisory) is agreed with the portfolio manager.
- Higher minimum investment — A minimum investment applies as prescribed by the regulator.
- Fees and disclosures — Management fees, performance fees and other charges are set out in the disclosure document.
Risks and Limitations
- Market risk and the possible loss of capital
- Concentration risk, as portfolios may hold fewer stocks
- Manager and strategy risk
- Exit conditions and costs, as set out in the agreement
How VALUE ADDITION Helps
We help you understand how PMS works, read disclosure documents and compare fees, and connect with registered portfolio managers where you are eligible. VALUE ADDITION itself does not manage portfolios.
Important note
All investments carry risk, including the possible loss of capital, and returns are not guaranteed. Availability depends on eligibility and applicable regulations. This page is general educational information, not investment advice or a recommendation. We do not provide SEBI registered investment advisory or portfolio management services.
