Invest Regularly. Transfer Smartly. Withdraw Systematically.
Systematic plans let you invest, transfer or withdraw in mutual fund schemes in a disciplined, scheduled manner, instead of making one-time decisions driven by market movements.
How Each Plan Works
- SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) — Invest a fixed amount in a chosen scheme at regular intervals, such as every month. Regular investing builds discipline and averages your purchase cost over time, but it does not guarantee profit or protect against loss.
- STP (Systematic Transfer Plan) — Move a fixed amount at regular intervals from one scheme to another within the same fund house, for example from a debt scheme into an equity scheme in stages.
- SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) — Withdraw a fixed amount at regular intervals from an existing investment, which can help create a periodic cash flow.
Points to Keep in Mind
- A SIP does not remove market risk; the value of units can fall as well as rise
- Exit load and taxation may apply on transfers and withdrawals, depending on the scheme and holding period
- Choose the amount and frequency based on your cash flow and goals
- Review your plans periodically as your circumstances change
